Ventura 2011

We took Luke to the beach today. He had so much fun. The weather was perfect, but the water was FREEZING! It hurt our toes when we would try to go in. Jeremy and Uncle Brig made a little pool for Luke. They had fun looking for sand crabs. I did what I do best....take pictures. I WILL NOT touch sand crabs.

new hobby

I love to Scrapbook, but I have been wanting to find another hobby. I decided to get into photography. Santa brought me a Dslr camera and I LOVE it. It does everything. On Christmas I took my cute little niece to the park with me to practice. Luke moves too much so it was so much easier to take pictures of her. Isn't she pretty!!

Jeremy and I love to take Luke to the park. Luke loves to make friends at the park. He can go down the slide all by himself. He goes up the stairs walks to the slide and goes down on his tummy. He learned to do this before his first birthday. He is such a fast learner...he doesn't get it from me! Luke also loves to play with the sand. The sand freaks me out because I know of all of the yucky things that are in the sand. I pretend I am ok with him playing in it and rush him home to wash his hands. Luke's only fear is the swings. He HATES to go on the swing. I have tried so many times.

First hair cut

So I finally let Jeremy trim Luke's Yamikah (sp ?) He had his first cut in February. He did great! We sat him in his high chair and Jeremy cut it.

First Birthday Party

Luke's first birthday party was a huge success. Many of his little friends and cousins attended. We had it at a park by us since our condo is so tiny. Luke loves outside so it was perfect for him. He had a Superhero theme and served carnitas for lunch. Some people dressed up in super hero attire.

I had so much fun Luke's first year. He is such an amazing little boy. He is always so happy, eager to learn, and a great listener. I am so impressed with how fast he learns. He is always thinking. Sometimes I just sit and watch him look around and plan what he is going to climb or get into next. He is such a great snuggler. I love it when he puts his face against mine and shakes his head back and forth and says argh, argh. I am so blessed to be his mom.

Trip to Utah

In January Luke and I went to Utah for my Niece's baptism. We had such a great time. My brother took a day off of work for take us all sleeding. It was so much fun It was my first time. The first time I went down I went by myself and I totally fell off of the sled. I took Luke down with me a couple of times and he was laughing the entire time. It is so nice having a baby that enjoys pretty much everything. After the baptism they had a yummy BBQ lunch for everyone. My mom gave Luke his own rib and he LOVED it. On Sunday I really wanted to go sleeding again so my brother let us go in his front yard off of the steps...ghetto I know. Let me tell ya, I was deperate.

New Years 2011

For New Years we went to Grandparents Yadens. We played a dance game on the Wii and ate dinner. Total party animals!
